On 17 October 2026, five of the top seven ranked college football teams lost on the same Saturday, reported as a first for the regular season. The next day @theburnerfromhe11 posted “College Football’s Week 8 All-Loss Tiny Desk Concert”: Kalen DeBoer on lead, Steve Sarkisian and Curt Cignetti on backing vocals, Kirby Smart on tambourine, Marcus Freeman on sax. About nineteen seconds. It passed two million TikTok plays in two days. The Athletic wrote it up on 23 October.

Washed anthem
Before any AI band, sports feeds played the Charlie Wilson Tiny Desk close over athletes and teams seen as past their peak. The song celebrates. The subject does not. That mismatch is the washed anthem. The coaches clip is the nickname with five people behind the desk instead of a highlight graphic.
